El Buzzo

We actually went to the movies last night as a family and watched Toy Story 3. No, it wasn't in 3D. Our little 4 screen theater doesn't have that. It was the first movie that Hailey's been to see, and she loved it! Bobby and I both really liked it too but were super impressed with Hailey's ability to sit through the movie. She didn't exactly SIT through the entire thing, but she was well behaved and didn't whine, cry or bother anyone. She watched most of the movie. She investigated the red lights that line the aisle in the dark. She even danced to the music while the credits rolled at the end. So much fun!
It was our first time going to the movie theater here. It's super cute. One of our favorite parts was listening to at least 5 different people's peanut M&M's roll underneath the seats. Too funny.

On a sad note, Chicken died on Sunday. Out of the blue. I just got done giving her props for laying eggs again! Bobby and I were actually outside making her a new coop and then found her in the bushes. We've had her for over 7 years. They say that typically chickens don't live that long, so it was probably just old age. Bye Chicken. RIP.

Sluggish

that's the word that completely describes how I've been feeling. like when i walk around, i have concrete stuck on my feet. i've even been downing mountain dew to try to give me some pep in my step. no bueno. goodbye liquid crack. you're only making me fatter. and still sluggish. hoping that my dr appt next week will work some magic.

happy happy birthday to you. to you. happy 20 month birthday, my little firecracker. coppertop. tuffy. curly q.

a first for this week? speeding ticket! at the airport no less. dropped bobby off at the curb. hailey started crying for daddy as we sped away. around the first turn, doh! cops all with radar guns. 5 of us, all in a row. construction zone. going 43 in a 25. i would've been angry if i was going 26 and got a ticket. at least i was speeding pretty good to deserve it!

did i mention we now have a 2nd chicken? we figured chicken was lonely. now we also have chicken little. we get eggs from her. and chicken thinks she has to compete so she started laying again too. hailey loves to feed them. and feed them. and feed them some more. even if she dumps it in her shirt. or down her diaper. (that's fun to find later). or in her face. she's a farm girl, i'm sure of it.

Thanks for sharing.

It's so fun to have someone to share Oreos with. Hailey LOVES them. She's taken to asking for a cookie before her afternoon nap. And at night before bedtime. And at random times throughout the day. I love watching her face turn all black down her chin and her fingers. It reminds me of a segment on Sesame Street when I was a kid where a baby ate a chocolate cookie and wouldn't share it with Cookie Monster. She was covered in cookie. Same concept here. For some reason though, Hailey only eats the creme filling now. She hollers at Mommy to eat the outside parts. Yumm. Fine by me!

This evening Bobby wanted to ride his bike around the neighborhood. And of course he wanted to take Hailey with him. So, he pulled her in her wagon behind him on his bike. Safe? Probably not. Hilarious to see? Absolutely. I kissed her and wished her luck before her adventure. Then I laughed hysterically when they rode away. Hailey had a look on her face like "you're gonna what?!"

Yesterday and today we welcomed the arrival of the rest of our stuff out of storage. I am happy to see some of the stuff we've been living without for almost a month and a half. Bobby says he liked it better empty in here. Not me. Ya, it's flowing out from every crevice of this place, but it's nice to live with familiar surroundings. Hailey was super excited to see her possessions that came off the truck. We will be living amongst boxes for a long time. But I'm determined not to feel overwhelmed about it. It'll get taken care of eventually.... One box at a time. Things I've missed the most? The couch, normal pots and pans, tupperware, and Hailey's nail clippers. Her talons are vicious!

My FAVORITE Face

I don't know what it is about this place, but I just have the need for junkin'. We're expecting all of our stuff from storage on Saturday and Sunday. That will really mess with my junkin' on Saturday. They don't really do sales on Sundays here. And there's an auction I have my eye on for Saturday too. Maybe Bobby can just monitor the moving people while I sneak away for the day. heehee. Sounds like a plan....

Not sure if anyone's ever tried this before, but it's rather therapeutic. Empty moving boxes? Chuck 'em down the stairs! Kick 'em down the stairs. Slide 'em down the stairs. And watch them crash into eachother. And the crazed looks on the family members' faces when they realize they'll be plowed over if they don't get outta the way. Move it!! It's free entertainment. And it relieves any stress whatsoever.

I'm in love with the UPS man today. And yesterday. He's bringing me loads of goodies. Bobby's getting worried that I'm hoarding. And he's irritated that the doorbell keeps interrupting his naps. Oh, so sad. {sarcasm}. I'm getting excited to find new homes for my new stuff. It all revolves around my new hobby-ish profession. I gotta have somewhere to take pics of people. First up will be a little person. Newborn photo shoot in the next 2 weeks. Gotta get my practice on!

Yes Kim, I will post pics soon. Heck maybe now. Let's see. Remember, these are unedited photos.
Hailey cracks me up. Here are her funny faces. First, Furrow your eyebrows....

Next, Can you look surprised??

Okay, i need to resize these for the web. They take forever to upload. Will try more tomorrow....
